The results are encouraging

2023 was a great year for homeowners to take climate-action at home.

  • Goldfinch Energy helped over 500 homeowners get started on a plan and energy audit to make big improvements to their home’s emissions and energy consumption.

  • 86 homes installed a heat pump (53 without gas furnaces) reducing emissions by over 480 tonnes/year (the equivalent to getting almost 100 gas cars off the road).

  • 10 homes installed solar offsetting a good portion of their electricity consumption.

  • 34 homes got off gas entirely saving them the monthly delivery fee.

  • 27 homes completed deep energy retrofits to reduce their home’s energy consumption by at least 50%.

When Adam and Aislin purchased their Toronto home (built in the 80s), they knew they wanted to make environmentally conscious improvements.  They never planned to go as far as they did with their home but advice and support along the way from Goldfinch Energy combine with rebates and a zero-interest loan helped them get their home entirely off gas and close to net zero. Their home now consumes a fraction of the energy as they acheived an 84% reduction in energy consumption.
